It could be the MB has gone bad, ( controller) you will need to do a test or two.
Put the rom on the same cable as the HD, Master/Slave setup. besure to set the jumpers
right, then run your BIOS to see if it finds the Rom and the HD..
If so switch the cable on the MB to the 2nd cable pickup...(controller) then do
the same thing...
If you get a error, then you may have a bad MB
If it works on both ports on the MB then you may have a software error in windows...if
you uninstalled some software like Roxie it may have told windows that you don't
have any Roms..
In that case you will need to down load a fix or rework the reg.file..
