well, i can tell you how to get the dual pane in every single folder. so that the
folders will be on the left side and the individual files in that folder will be
on the right.
this is a permanent fix.
open any folder (my computer)
go to view
folder options
file types
under registered file types highlite folder
click edit
select explore
set default
ok
ok
to get details in every folder just select details then
go to.
view
details
folder options
view
now don't forget to set your advanced settings
click on like current folder
apply
ok
if you want large icons substitute that instead of details.
unfortunately i have not figured out how to have details in my documents and large
icons in mycomputer and large icons in the control pannel -- without manually changing
it every time. if anyone has an answer to that, please post it. i am running windows
98se.
thank you!
