Hi Gary:

Have you tried setting your
DISPLAY PROPERTIES > SETTINGS > SCREEN AREA
to something very large, then when you run your
errant window not-maximized -- see if it's
positioned somewhere else that would be
out-of-range of the viewing are of your normal
SCREEN AREA settings?

If it's there, drag it back closer to the top left
corner, then re-set the SCREEN AREA setting.
