i wonder if you might elaborate on these registry changes a bit? will this work on windows 98 se without side effects? what exactly does this do? does it allow me to have mydocuments show up as details and mycomputer show up as large icons. because right now if i change one folder to large icons and change another to details, i'll have the 2 different folder appearance as long as they remain open but the moment i close the folders, then everything reverts to the last change. if the last folder was changed to large icons everyone becomes large icons. if the last change in anyone folder was to details all of them become details, the next time the folder is opened. i'ed like to keep details in mydocuments and have large icons in mycomputer and the control panel. thanking you for your time! ivory coast
