Bit short on info - its not at all clear what has happened to your PC - 'Started
when I let someone use my computer' isn't very helpful - what did they do with your
computer?
Have you been trying a clean install of 2k (ie, booting from 2k install disk, wiping
existing partition(s)...) or starting install from within 2k?
If clean install and you're getting problems, nearly always a hardware issue of some
kind - may be as simple as CD drive not reading properly/CD disk damaged or any piece
of hardware may have gone bad. Anything you can disconnect (eg, all peripheral hardware,
any internal PCI cards not essential to install) during the install, you should.
If it installs ok then, connect them one at a time - if one is faulty should show
up when you connect it.
