The dsl modem is connected with an ethernet cable. I tried switching cables, but still no connection. The Dell has a pretty standard looking 3Com card, so I would think it would be compatible with pretty much anything. It just baffles me that it will work directly with the modem, but not through the router, while the settings are the same.
