You can get one free from http://www.bootdisk.com/bootdisk.htm You can use one of the Win9x disks. You won't be able to "see" your hard drive if it's NTFS, but you should be able to "see" your CDROM drive. That should verify that the CDROM drive and motherboard are OK.
