Was invented in an era when there was no recordable CD.  Was intended for magnetic 
media so no native support for CDR/CDRW, so you are limited to tape, floppy, HDD, 
ZIP, network drives etc.  Recording to CD changes the file attributes to read only 
(recording to magnetic media does not).  Been years since I used it and it isn't 
the favorite for backing up in any environment that I work in anymore.  It was pretty 
basic even back then but there are better free ones around now if you Google for 
them.
