Windows Updates Will Not Install

The following are downloaded by W2K Automatic Updates, but will not install:
(1) Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1;
(2) Security Update for DirectX 9 for Windows 2000 (KB941568);
(3) Security Update for Windows 2000 (KB941569)
Attempts to install the Net Framework report that the update was is not installed.
For the others, the install hangs at about 50%, and just sits there.
Anyway to get these installed?
