How to uninstall XP OR 2000

I had 2000 on my computer when I got it and tried to install XPpro with server pack
but it won't let me use it because a message said that the ID#'s were used too many
times. These #'s came with the disk, now I'm XP'D(xtremely p-o'd My questions are:
1-can I use XP and how? and 2- If not how can I safely uninstall it and get back
to my original 2000??? right now 2000 is not working right but I can use the net.
