I had a similar problem on Feb. 13 . I have 3 user profiles and now all desktop icons
were replaced by one of the users.(we all have the same icons and shortcuts on the
desktop)two of us have lost our icons. So far MS has offered little help. I think
it has to do with the automatic updates we received the previous night.i dont know
how to fix this.
