I've never found a dialog box in Windows 2000 that stores the default user identity,
and two out of three of my systems with this OS believe they must start with the
Administrator, and his (mine) password, instead of my own normal (no password) account.
There was never any point in setting those PCs up that I purposely chose such a
setup.
In the case of XP, something somewhat similar started after one of the upgrades MS
wants installed, and I didn't turn down. Previously, I didn't have to do anything
to log on, then without my intervention, I now must start with a mouse click on my
acount sign-on name. I'd rather not have to do anything logging on that machine.
