Hi David:

Of all the NOTEPAD replacements I've ever tested, I
don't recall ANY that don't prompt you to save if you've 
typed something and not saved it already.

Can you plug in a USB stick?  How about 
MULTICLIPBOARD?  It can run right off the USB stick
without being "installed," and writes all its saved 
information in a text file in the folder where the 
executable starts from -- not in the Registry.  You 
can exit without saving, or being prompted to save.
