Internal Error

On login, my ancient 2000 pro machine has started giving me the following:
Internal Error
ABORT: Could not initialize extension dll (0x00000000) (0) (snmp.c/599)
OK?
Well no, it's not OK but I'm not sure what to do about it or even how to interpret
it. So far it does not seem to effect anything. The only software I have recently
installed has been the automatic updates.
Suggestions please?
