Modem Crashing

Hi
I have a rather bizzare problem with my Modem/PC at the the momentthat I hope someone
can help with.
Basically I play a game called PSU online, now if I jump onto the game in about 1
1/2 hours to 2 hours my modem will completely lockup, I selcet disconnect but it
takes a while to show in the system tray and even then I cannot reconnect.
The only way i can reconnect to the net is to turnt he pc right off (a restart wont
work) and then on again. and it seems to only be during games that it dc's (and only
games like PSU and PSO)
The odd thing is say I have a fileshare server running for say 6 hours or so before
hand I can play without ANY problems and no disconencts whatsoever, But ONLY if it
had been conenctred to the net for a long time beforehand.
does anyone have any insight to the bizzare behaviour my modem is giving? Thanks
