Thanks C. K. for your input. Your terminology is ahead of me, but let me say how I tried to read it. I could plug in my old clean 6G HDD as replacement HD '0' and run the W2k CD as usual, then adding all the updates/rollups to be found, having saved them, virus scanned, to CD previously. Having then this CD, I'm not sure how the updated W2k O/S there would be transferred to a cleaned 80G HD from the original PC? You will appreciate the limits to my knowledge! Any ideas or related web sites?
