After startup, mouse action seems normal as regards movement or openiing an icon or folder, but will not open an application immediately, but maybe after so long it is unexpected.. In Task Manager the CPU is always 100% at first sight, with no applications running, and then often drops down.. Sometimes when an application is eventually opened, eg RegCure, it runs and the screen saver cuts in. Using any key to reaccess has no immediate result. Trying Ctrl+Alt+Del may or not work to escape and the reset PC button has to be used. If eventually it clears the application has closed. Sometimes the fault clears after the PC has been on half a day. Changing back from wireless/USB to standard keyboard and mouse has no effect . When semi-active there are frequent "Program not responding" boxes appearing. Occasionally there are "Debugging in progress" boxes. Sometimes work on desktop causes the sreen to flash, icons to lose thier identity and then icons to progressively return . The system runs Zonealarm( which recently tends to freeze the system whilst trying to sell the non free product), AVG, Avast, Superantispy, Abexo RegCure and Startup Manager., non added recently. The ISP has a firewall. Before all this chaos, the main agony was the ZoneAlarm selling box which could not easily be cancelled. You will guess this is not the PC giving trouble. Sorry about thr mass of comment, but any help appreciated
