Forgive me, Lois, if I seem off base or am only repeating what others may have said.
Your original question is not in this thread.
It sounds like you need to enable your Quick Launch toolbar. To do this, right-click
on an empty area of your task bar, choose Toolbars, and place a checkmark next to
Quick Launch. Usually IE and desktop icons appear in the Quick Launch area of your
task bar. Other shortcuts can be added by dragging them to the QL area. Shortcuts
can be removed by dragging them to the recycle bin, desktop, or other location.
If you need more area in your QL toolbar, slide the slider that divides the toolbar
from the rest of your taskbar as appropriate. If that isn't enough, you can drag
your taskbar up to increase its area by dragging the top of the taskbar when your
cursor turns into a double arrow. I know I find it most helpful to have a taskbar
that's double the width of the default size.
If this doesn't resolve your issue, it might help to restate the original question
or problem. This appears to be a new thread and it doesn't include the original
post.
