If the game allows you to install onto anything other than C: drive, yes, you can
install them anywhere you want. SOme applications won't allow you to install them
anywhere but where the Windows install is.

NTFS/FAT formatted drives don't care about what the other is. They are dumb. It's
the operating system that can either handle a particular format or can't. W2K and
XP can use either FAT or NTFS. Win 9X can't see or write to NTFS without a third
party software utility installed.. DO NOT connect your old drive as a slave until
AFTER you have Windows up and running. It can be added simply after you have everything
up and running smoothly. Many horrer stories of the slave drives being wiped out
for unknown reasons when installing Windows. Other than that, it should be a straight
forward process.

One item to watch for is if you are going to use a SATA drive for installing Windows,
you may have to load the SATA IDE drivers at the very beginning of the Windows install
if your board has a non-native IDE controller. Just depends on your board. This
was a big issue when SATA was released. Most but not all manufacturers have fixed
the issue. Your manual should be clear about it (but some aren't). The sure way
to tell is if Windows loads everything and then reboots to finish the install, and
fails (can't find the hard drive), then you know for sure you will have to use the
F6 option to load drivers from a floppy disk.

Good Luck! :-)
