Using RDP drive sharing in Win 2K

I’m trying to find a way to use drive sharing in Windows Server 2000 like it is usable
in Windows Server 2003 (by bringing with the RDP session, the drive letters I want).

I tried the DRMAPCLT “fix” provided by MS but it was not working as I expected.

I cannot use third party software with a graphical interface to help me transfer
files between servers as I need to do it programmatically.

When I go to the “Terminal Services Configuration” MMC and open de “RDP-Tcp” properties,
on the “Client settings” tab I see the “Drive mapping” greyed checkbox (it is also
checked). Why is it greyed and why can’t I use this drive mapping utility (working
so well in Windows Server 2003) ?

If there’s no fix or third party component that can do this, is there a way we can
install a more recent version of the Microsoft RDP server side (client side already
have a version recent enough to support it).
