Hey, thank you for the software. Maybe you can help me with another issue on the
X Box side.
When testing internet connection there are 3 steps
Xbox 360-Network
Network-Internet
Internet-FUN! LOL
Well, for some reason, when I test the connection, I get an error on the first step,
how can I tell if it's seeing the laptop as a now-shared connection or if it's just
a busted ethernet cable?
I look online and found that it IS in fact an ethernet, no crossover, but on it it
says Cat .5 (not sure if there should be a space there) is it Cat 5 or less than
Cat 1? Would that even affect its not seeing a connection, or would it just limit
my connection assuming it was working in the first place?
Any ideas to get me started would help a lot, and again thanks for the previous help.
Also if you're familiar with the 360's manual network configuration settings, what
would I want these settings to be relative to the laptop (which it's now directly
connected to) or the router (which it's connected to through the laptop's forced
ICS, which in turn is connected via WiFi)?
IP Address
Subnet Mask
Gateway
and do I mess with DNS settings, PPPoE Settings, or Advanced Settings which includes
host name and Alt. MAC address?
