my wife's old IBM desktop (perhaps 8 to 10 or so yrs old) was working fine until thurs nite. everything is plugged in ok, nothing was moved, etc. when i press the button on the pc to try to get it going, there's a tiny noise - and nothing. many additional attempts have proved fruitless. anything else i can try, or just chalk it up to the computer died and its time to get a new one? There were storms in the area Thurs and maybe that did it - although another computer (also old but not as old) in the house was left on and is fine - both have surge protectors. Thanks.
