I've partially worked on my problem but Googling "shockwave flash" and ignoring all the leading entries and jumping to some page way down in priority. I was hoping for a page with a use of it that would be quick to load. That is, some relatively simple animations and work up from that. So far the most promising is www.mapsofwar.com which has various maps showing the surge and shrinkage of empires and religions. I'll report back on my results. However that, if anyone has tips on Shockwave sites for testing this or have already done what I have, I would appreciate it.
