The update packages for unsupported versions of Windows can be found at They once were shut down, probably by Msft, but are back. They are, in effect, a Windows fan site. They had (and still do) Win98 updates and mods and have added all (I think) the updates for Win2K. These are in a format that they must be downloaded and run. They do not install directly. So they can be downloaded by Firefox or, preferably, a download manager. There is no need to use IE to get them.
