I think I miscommunicated my problem. I intentionally have this one PC physically
disconnected from the LAN. When I need to print, I wheel it across the room, plug
it in, and I immediately have connectivity to the domain. I just don't have access
to the network printer. I have to "explore" to the printer and "connect" to it (each
time I plug the PC into the network).

Typing the original message made me think to create a shortcut to the printer on
the desktop, so at least the number of mouseclicks if vastly reduced.
