Hello:
Your problem could be the result of something like a program or process hanging
the computer when it shuts down or it could be the result of something like a modem
plugged into the motherboard causing the computer to restart through a PCI bus wake
process.
To check for software problems go to the Control Plan then Administrator Tools
then Event Viewer. Check under system and applications for errors that would cause
the computer to restart.
To prevent hardware plugged into the motherboard from restarting the computer
go into the BIOS then under the power management menu look for Wake on PCI PME and
disable or stayoff. To get this setting to work you may have to assign power management
to the BIOS. If this setting exist it will be under the Power Management menu.
