Stop opening new Explorer windows when mapping drives!

There has GOT to be a way! I've talked to plenty of people, and no one has ever figured out a way to get rid of one of the most annoying aspects of Windows. I map drives all day long to different Novell servers - I keep getting new Windows popping up, sometimes two or three for the same mapping. Go away! Anyone have any ideas?
