IE saves as BMP instead of JPG???

We all know about how you can right-click on a picture in Internet Explorer and choose
"Save Picture As..." to save that picture. If the picture is a JPG, it saves it
as a JPG by default. Just yesterday IE5.5 changed the way it saves pictures. In
some pictures I've saved before as JPG, when I right-click on them now and choose
"Save Picture As...," it saves it as BMP and puts "untitled" as the filename. What's
up with that? There's no other format it lets me save it other than BMP. The drop-down
menu for "Save File Type" only shows BMP and nothing else. What could've happened?
I downloaded IE5.5 SP2 from Microsoft's site to hopefully fix the problem and it
still saves some JPGs as BMPs.
Can anyone please help?
