Obscure IE6 "Links" Foldered Shortcuts Launch Question

I'll try my best to be clear.
I installed IE6 final today. So far not bad, except one "problem." I typically
run multiple IE windows at the same time. And I also have a many folders under in
"Links" bar. This way, when I click on the folders, the contents therein are displayed
as a drop down menu. It's easiler to access my links from the drop down menus off
of "Links" then going through "Favorites" --> "Sub Folder" --> "Shortcut."
But I hate the way IE6 launches these shortcuts contained in the drop down menus.
Instead of launching them within the current window (as IE 5.5 SP1 did), it launches
them in the first opened window -- displacing the page I left open for a reason!
If anyone can understand what the hell I'm describing, can you help? I just want
internet shortcuts containted in the folders under "Links" to launch within the CURRENT
window, not the FIRST OPENED window.
Under "Internet Options"/"Advanced" I found turning off the "Reuse windows for launching
shortcuts" helps a little bit. But I'd rather shortcuts launch in the CURRENT window.
I know I'm anal . . . .
Thanks for the help!
