I use W 2000 on a Dell L1000r machine 256 Mg. I recently switched from Earthlink Dial up to Earthlink DSL Nothing but problems. After much fussing back and forth, Earthlink now admits that the only software they suply for DSL (WINPOET) works very poorly with Windows 2000 and they recommended me to a third party download site with software (RASSPOE http://user.cs.tu-berlin.de/~normanb/ that seems totally incompatible with W 2000.Any answers??? Earthlink claims they are one of the few ISPs that support Windows 2000 at all. I am back to dial up connection and have the feeling that if I switch ISPs I might have te same problem. Do cable modem users have the same problem?
