I'm curious....what software is this? Does it have something do with the DSL
or with browsing the web? I've had ADSL hooked up to this machine.......which run's
Windows 2000...... and am presently using cable and have had no problems with either
and.........I installed no proprietary garbage software. I surf the web with IE
and do my email in Outlook. The only difference I found between DSL and cable (as
far as setup goes) is that here, cable uses DHCP (automatic IP address, gateway,
DNS, etc settings) and the DSL used Static IP and other settings. What problem did
you have with your connection and how did you get your IP address (static assignment
or DHCP assigned)?
