Question about 'Get Rid of the Logon Screen'

I have a question about Get Rid of the Logon Screen:

I purchased a computer with Win 2000 Pro from my former (now defunct company). They didn't take out the login password so I can't log on. Is there any way to log in and then change the password? I don't mind if I have to reformat the hard drive since I don't have a need for anything that may have been left on the drive. Thanks
