The article says If you're using Efficient Networks' Enternet 300 software: Open
the Enternet 300 software, and select Settings from the Connections menu.
Click Advanced, and choose the Use DHCP option (the default, "Private API," is incompatible
with ICS).
When I do this, restart the machine, start the DSL connection and open a browser
I get a message that ... "no internet connection available" . When I check the ipconfig
settings for each of the three adapters are set
to 00000. If I check ipconfig immediately after reboot but before starting the DSL
connection, 2 of the 3 adapters have been given addresses by the DHCP server and
the 3rd adapter shows as cable disconnected because the DSL service hasn't started.
Since the networking specialists at my ISP (SBC) don't work on the weekends, can
anyone suggest a fix?
