If explorer goes away, there is another way to get it back, but it's essentially
the same way. When you have to restart explorer, you can also do it without a run
dialog or a task manager if you have any program open/running that has a Open/Save
(etc) dialog open. Select *.* All Files from the dropdown if available (otherwise
type *.* for a file name and click the Save/Open button...this will display all files
regardless of what the dialog is set to display.---as far as I know, there isn't
even a way around this problem in programs that can be written in Visual Basic 6,
enterprise edition at that)..anyway, go through the dialog, show all the files, navigate
to your explorer.exe file and right click on it and select Open. Sometimes the crash
can be bad enough to just lock down the computer when you do this...don't worry about
shutting the computer down at this point....just turn it off/unplug it...there's
nothing more you can do and besides, when this happens, it adviseable to restart
anyway, as the computer has become unstable.
