I have a question about Connect
to a Windows XP or 2000 system with a Windows 95, 98, or Me system over a Network:
QUESTION: How do I configure my 2 network computers (Desktop Windows XP Home Edition
HOST Computer with an Ethernet Modem to my local dial-up ISP Server and Laptop Windows
2000 Professional CLIENT computer) using a Linksys Workgroup Switch and Belkin Twisted-wire
RJ45 cables?
NETWORK SETUP: New Linksys EtherFast 10/100 Workgroup 5-port Switch Model No: EZXS55W
Version 2.0, 1 ea. Belkin 7 ft. 10BaseT (Twisted Wire) Cable connected to the Laptop
(Windows 2000) Docking Station's internal System Adapter RJ45 connector to the Switch
RJ45 connector and 1 ea. 50 ft. RJ45 Cable connected to the Switch to the Desktop
(Win XP) computer.
COMPUTER SETUP: I have a Windows XP Home Edition Desktop as the HOST computer and
want to connect my Windows 2000 Professional Laptop Docking station as the CLIENT
computer.
