I have a question about Enable
Iconic Preview of Bitmaps:
The article states that "If you've accidentally disabled [the iconic preveiw for
icons], the same process will work for ICO files. I have my icons associated with
G:\Program Files\Icon Tools\IconEdit\iconedit.exe, but no (sub?)key for IconEdit
exists under H_CLASSES_ROOT like it does for Paint.Picture Just to make sure I have
this right before fiddling with the registry, do I:
1) create a subkey (Edit > New > Key) under H_CLASSES_ROOT named "IconEdit";
2) create another subkey under that named "DefaultIcon";
3) change the (Default) value to "%1"?
Also, under the Paint.Picture key, there is a (Default) value with the data "Bitmap
Image" and other subkeys besides DefaultImage (CLSID, Insertable, protocol, and shell).
Do I need equivalents for these under the IconEdit key, assuming I have the above
three steps correct?
