I have a question about Change
the Icons of Desktop Items:
How do you change the Internet Explorer desktop icon (not a shortcut, the actual
I.E. where right-clicking can bring up internet properties)? I changed it before
by using reshack to change the icon in shell32.dll (or some file like that) but when
I do a windows update, it gets a new version of that file and so it reverts back
to the original 'e' icon. Is there some way to change the icon in the registry instead
of just replacing the resource in shell32.dll?
