VPN not working through my LinkSys DSL router. I have tried changing all the configurations (ie. IPsec, PPTP) without success. Any suggestions?

Have you tried opening a port or pinhole setting in the router? Some routers block such communications by default until you enable the exact services you need. (By the way, I assume the router works for browsing the Internet. If it does, leave the protocol alone (pppoe, for example) ).
