You could try the program Tclock. I know it allows you to change the text/icon
in the start menu. Perhaps it allows for changing fonts too.

No, I have T-clock installed and it doesn't allow this feature. It changes the wording
, but not the font size or style.

I'm looking foe a way w/o a third-party app. I can already do as you suggested using
T-clock. I'm looking for a way to do it within explorer. Thanks though.

""How do you change the font on the start menu button ,the one that reads "START"?""
>>>Perhaps I misunderstood, but the answer to this is pretty simple. You just change
appearance of the Active Title Bar in the display:
1 ) Get into Display, either through control panel or just right click on the desktop
and select Properties.
2 ) Click on the Appearances tab
3 )Click on the "Active Window" in the display or select the "Active Title Bar"
in the drop down list.
4 ) Change the font and select Apply.
>>>This also changes the title bars of all windows and the taskbar filenames. Wish
we could customize separately, but that one I haven't figured out yet.

That changes the size of your desktop icons...right?
There is a spot below for changing text size but that did nothing to my explorer...i
did however find view/text size helpful!
(...have, no, MAKE it a great day)
