I have a question about How
do I make the background of desktop icon text transparent?: This utility does
NOT work with Windows 2000 Professional, nor do any of the later versions of the
Disappear utiliity. :-(

Well here's one I know works, I use it. You can download Transparent
here To make this work properly though, you have to disable the "show web content"
feature of active desktop. To do so: right click on an open space on your desktop,
on the menu that comes up click on 'Active Desktop' and the disable (remove the check
mark from) 'Show Web Content'

The SeeThru application from Ziff-Davis works fine with W2000. I downloaded it from
PC Computing's website.

You could use what I use on my Win2K Pro system: ICONDESK - freeware from http://byukruk.topcities.com
PS - Sorry about the previous empty reply
