This doesn't seem to work in Win2000.

Right click anywhere on the menu and then click on "sort by name" This also works
on submenu's.

Sorry, I should have been more specific.
1. the regEdit trick didn't have any effect
2. I don't see a "sort by name" line in the right-click menu
But I also misled you-all, what I have here is Win ME, not Win 2K.

If you open the start menu (Left click on start) and then right click anywhere in
the start menu you will get a menu, simply choose sort by name and it will arange
it for you.

click on , click then right click on any of the folders and then
click on 'sort by name'
