Allow FTP in Windows 2000

I'm using Windows 2000 Pro. and an FTP program, SERVU-FTP. I set up the program, correctly I hope, and set it up so people knowing my IP can grab a file when I let them. When I friend tries to connect to me, it accepts his user name and password that we set up, but when his FTP program tries a LIST command to get my directory, he gets a PERMISSION DENIED error. Is there a service that I'm not turning on in 2K that needs to be? Any help is appreciated! John

I have win2000 server with Serv-U on it myself...When you add users, and set there home dir, etc. You need to specify what rights they get for what directories, read, write, list, make, etc. Drop me an email if you need more direction.
