i have windows 2000 and i don't have a version of dos i want to format my hard drive
can i do that with command line? if not how can i do it? i know dos but i dont know
much about command line

Make a bootdisk, or download one from here:
http://www.bootdisk.com/
Then you can boot to the disk and format. You know this will wipe out everything
including windows right?
If all you want to do is format a secondary hard drive just go to a command prompt
and use format

You can format your hard drive during the setup of Windows 2000. Just run setup,
delete the old partition and create a new one - it will get formatted during the
install.
