I have a question about What do I do if my BIOS is causing a problem with Windows?:

I start installing win2000 and upon completing copying files for setup, it reboots and my system hangs at "Verifying DMI Pool Data...". Is the a problem with my Bios? My computer is a Pentium III, 933Mhz bought in 2001. Any information would be appreciated. Thank you. PB.

Have you tried resetting the CMOS?...your motherboard may have jumpers you can "short" to clear the CMOS chip.

Is your bios up to date? Check with your motherboard manufacturer to see if you have the current version. Good Luck.

Pardes Babu jee, Before you do all of those jumper moving about try an complete new installation. Just format your harddisk and install win2k all over again if it does it again then i would advice you to mess about with the cmos jumper. I hope you haven`t yet. Laterz,
