Question about 'Connect to a Windows XP or 2000 system with a Windows 95, 98, or Me system over a Network'

I have a question about Connect to a Windows XP or 2000 system with a Windows 95, 98, or Me system over a Network:

I have the following setup: 1. A windows 2000 machine that is set up with Internet connection setting and shares its cable modem connection. 2. A windows 98 machine. 3. A windows XP laptop. ICS has been setup correctly on the windows 2000 machine since both the 98 and XP machines are able to access the Internet. I think all the machines meet the requirements to share files, although the only machines which appear in Network Neighborhood/My Network Places are the 98 and XP machines. The windows 2000 machine does not even show itself in My Network Places, although file and printer sharing is enabled. I can still enable a resource to be shared, but the only way I can see it through windows 2000 is to type in the address: "//computername". The XP and 98 machines do not even see the windows 2000 machine all though they are able to share files between themselves. I able to ping the 2000 machine from both the XP and 98 machines and vice versa. I tried setting up user profiles on the 2000 machine, but I am not sure if I did it correctly, since I still could not see the other machines in My Network Places/Network Neighborhood. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe the Computer Browser service is not started on W2000?
