Question about 'Connect to a Windows XP or 2000 system with a Windows 95, 98, or Me system over a Network'

I have a question about Connect
to a Windows XP or 2000 system with a Windows 95, 98, or Me system over a Network:
I have a win2k box on a lan with two win98 boxes. We get ip addresses assigned by
ATT by dhcp over the cable modem. One win98 box can see the win 2k box, and can read/write
files to it. The win2k box cannot see the win 98 box. Tried suggestion in the article.
Any advice?

do you have any firewalls in place, ms, norton, etc? can you ping from between systems?

No firewall inside of the cable modem. Ping works. It is the one-way communication
that has me confused. I had things working both ways, then I moved the win2k box
away for a few weeks. When i brought it back, only the win98 box can see the win2k
box, not vice versa.
