Question about 'Share an Internet Connection'

I have a network with 2 pc's. One has windows 2000 professional installed, the other has windows 98 SE. I share an internet connection via ICS (on 2000 machine). That works all fine, i can mail en browse the internet on bouth pc's. The problem is that the ICS firewall doesn't allow me to share my printer connected on the 2000 machine (also no pc or shared folder is viewed in network neighbourhood on both pc's, so file sharing isn't possible). How can I enable file and printer sharing in this network ?(on the pc with windows 2000)?? Thanks in advance, Alan.

I have the same setup at home and have no difficulty sharing files or printers on both PC's. File and Printer sharing is "enabled" by default on Win2K. Make sure to add it to the components in network properties on the Win98 PC. Also, make sure that both File and Printer sharing is checked in the properties for File and Printer sharing. Last, but not least, add the NetBEUI protocol to both PC's. Your Internet connection is being shared through TCP/IP, but you will need a more "chatty" protocol to send out broadcasts often enough to keep an updated cache of available PC's on your network.
