I have a question about Making Sure the Correct HAL is Installed:

I`ve tried to install Windows 2000 professional on my sistem (AMD k6-2 550Mhz, 64 RAM, GeForce2, 3 Gb HDD) and when the new installed windows starts i install the patch for my VIA MVP3 mainboard and the drivers for the GeForce2. After the restart the sistem crash at the "starting up" screen. I can pass through this crash even in safe mode or the other optoin there. What is the problem? Is the hardware, the drivers? :-@
