It might be that when the ISP drops the connection it does it
gracefully, so that Windows sees no need to re-dial,
as opposed to when the line is dropped by someone "pulling the plug",
or really bad noise on the line...

Dunno my auto redial used to work fine in 98 with my isp. I upgraded to 2000 and
am still using the same isp but I get the same problem as you!!!

i've given up on that now ijust downloaded rasmaster from tucows. works a treat.
