I have a question about Getting 
Wake On Lan (sometimes called Remote Wake Up) to work:


I got wake on lan working on my home network.  In fact, I wrote a webpage using .Net 
so I can just click an link and my home computers will turn on.  Then after they 
boot I connect to them using Terminal Services.

My problem is, how so I shut the machine down again?  I am running XP, and the shut 
down option doesn't appear when connecting remotely.

Also if anyone wants the source to the web page let me know, happy to share.

At a command prompt, I hope you know to get there by typing cmd.exe in the run box, type the command "shutdown -s" and hit enter. It will give you a 30 second warning and the machine will shut down. Worked for me.
